Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi: Spring 2016 RTW
Who knew oversized poufs could be so stylish? From a bright red romper that looks suspiciously like my mom’s gym uniform from the 70’s to an army green blouse with a gorgeous neckline, the excessive fabric feels just right.
One of my favorite pieces is a slinky romper in a lovely olive green:
From the waist up, I get major Dowager Countess vibes (in a totally good way!). From the waist down, it’s reminiscent of the poofy bloomers of previous looks, but with a much classier take. The waist is cinched with a gorgeous flower belt matching the rest of the outfit. So perfect!
I, for one, thought that cut-outs were going back out of style. However, I’ve just been proven very wrong:
Pretty! The placement of the cutouts and the overall shape of the dress in these outfits provides he perfect amount of skin in proportion to fabric that screams sexy, but not overtly so.
I also had no idea that cutouts in a jacket would be such a good idea. They just make the blazer look so much more fitted and feminine.
The cutouts in this dress help make it not look like a billowy witch costume. Without the cutouts, I would immediately dismiss this dress as overly frumpy and unfitted. With the cutouts, it gives just the right amount of style to make it high fashion and fabulous.
You usually don’t think of leather and cutouts, but this look proves that cut outs look lovely with any fabric.
Finally, I want to mention the makeup all of the models had on:
I have to say, this super bold eyeliner somewhere between your eye and eyebrow is so on point. I absolutely want to try out this look the next time I go out. Too fabulous!
